Our mission is to impact the world — through launching new, inclusive faith communities.
In 2017, a group of about 20 faith entrepreneurs from stable and growing communities around the country came together to imagine what it would look like to launch more loving, more inclusive, Gospel-based communities grounded in progressive theology and our shared passions for justice. With time a vision began to take shape and in 2019, under the leadership of Co-Founders Aaron Bailey, Jennifer Fisher and Colby Martin, along with a board of supportive leaders, Launchpad Partners began offering coaching, consulting, and cohort support for faith leaders discerning and actively engaged in launching new communities.
Love: We believe love is the driving force behind everything we do and it unites us all in our differences. God is love, and in Jesus Christ we witness the ultimate manifestation of that love, which begins with a healthy love of Self.
Belonging: We believe that the need for belonging is sacred. Life is hard and lonely, therefore we prioritize connection and support within the larger Launchpad network, creating opportunities to foster belonging and recognize that when we are connected to others in genuine relationship we can better know God and ourselves.
Inclusion: We believe that all people are loved children of God, inherently worthy, and belong to God’s Family just as they are. We humbly recognize the damage that has been done by the church toward people on the margins (including but not limited to women, people of color, and LGBTQ+ individuals.) In every space we create, we will advocate for, partner with, elevate, and learn from all voices.
Collaboration: We believe that what can come from a collaboration of multiple voices and perspectives is more beautiful and more effective than acting alone. We support communities in creating collaborative spaces, coaching through shared leadership models, breaking down hierarchies that have held others down, acting justly, and valuing the dignity and worth of every person.
Heritage: We believe the tradition of Christianity, while fraught with baggage, still offers practices and rituals that are good for the flourishing of the Soul. We encourage the development of fresh practices of faith to complement some of the rich traditions of Christianity through which we came.
If we live out these values…
If our spaces are more inclusive, collaborative, loving, connected, and integrated, then we might better reflect the dream of God on earth as it is in heaven.
