We founded Launchpad in 2018 to meet a real need. Leaders across the country were starting and growing inclusive churches, and they needed practical support, coaching, and community. Your generosity and involvement helped create that space.Since then, we’ve proudly helped launch online, in-person and innovative new forms of church and community across the country, and had a hand in helping many more leaders to shift, evolve, and support their existing communities. We’re so thankful to have played a deeper role as coaches supporting the launches of these faith leaders and communities:- Safe Harbor Orange County, Orange County, CA
- Harbor Online Community
- St. Lucy’s Episcopal Church (Berkeley, CA)
- Sacred Place Church (Rancho Cucamonga, CA)
- The Agape Table (Colombia, SC)
- Desert Voices (Phoenix, AZ and online)We hosted 5 annual retreats, the first one in Scottsdale, AZ, just days before the pandemic started in 2020, and the latest one just this past May in Asheville, NC. These retreats were always transformative weeks where rest and deep connections were made. Most of all, we’re thankful for the many, many church partners over the years, who’ve given resources, time, expertise and most of all, relational support, to these emerging leaders and to us.Now in 2025, we recognize the landscape is shifting once again. The moment we are in demands that we organize stronger in our local and regional spaces. This is a good thing. We see the leaders of our network feeling less isolated and alone, because they have the gifts and skills to branch out, reach deep, and invest in their neighbors like no other. We see bridges being built that weren’t happening before, new leaders organizing support across the country, and it gives us hope.Because of this and the pull that we both feel to invest more deeply in our own local contexts, we discerned with the help of our loyal board members to bring Launchpad Partners to a close by December 31, 2025.What comes next:- Jen and Aaron remain available for coaching and consulting, together or individually. Our work doesn’t need the label of Launchpad to continue. It’s who we are and what we’ll always do. We’re always a phone call away.
- Jen will continue her work with Imagine Cincinnati, supporting parents, caregivers, and kids in holding space to connect with nature, each other, and their own deepest selves. She is organizing and building civic muscle among the local families she serves.
- Aaron will spend some time leaning into the nudges he feels about creating spiritual community amongst people who have left the United States to find safety in other countries.
- If you’re a recurring donor, we’ve already connected with you. Your contribution will end by December 31, 2025. Thank you so much for your investment in this journey.
- We’ll miss our annual retreats most of all, and plan to find other ways to support one another through partner retreats happening in 2026. Reach out for recommendations.Thank you for walking with us. We’re not going anywhere. We’re just shifting with the call God is giving us. We’ll share more toward the end of this month on all that Launchpad has meant for us. For now, we wanted to share the practical updates, and invite you to reflect with us.With Much Love and Gratitude,
Jen and Aaron
